Peter Maiden has been photographing Latin Music in the San Francisco Bay Area since he had a cover story on Afro-Cuban music published in the East Bay Express in 1987. He is best known for his relationships over the years with Latin Beat Magazine, International Salsa Magazine and Timba.com. His client list includes the San Francisco Bay Area Salsa Congress, the San Jose Jazz Summer Jazz Fest, SF Jazz, and Jazz at Lincoln Center. On this website you will find many of your favorite Bay Area and international artists, captured by what Latin music writer Chuy Varela called "el ojo de Pedrito" (Pete's eye).
